Mintimer Shaimiev met with Vladimir Medinsky

Today, State Councillor of the Republic of Tatarstan , Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Fund "Revival" Mintimer Shaimiev met with the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky.

At the beginning of the meeting Mintimer Shaimiev showed high guest stand structures and models for cultural-historical project "Cultural heritage: the ancient city of Bolgar and island Svijazhsk ." Vladimir Medinsky  familiar with this federal project, which is being implemented with the assistance of the Ministry of Culture. He visited Bolgar and Svijazhsk in November 2012. Today,  he asked to talk about what has been done in recent times, he  was also interested in new developments in the activities of the Fund "Revival" .

During the conversation, Mintimer Shaimiev  informed Vladimir Medinsky  about the ongoing work of the republic with the UNESCO World Heritage Committee to include Bolgar historical and archaeological complex and Sviyazhsk historical and architectural complex in the World Heritage List. They also discussed further cooperation between the   RF Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Culture of Tatarstan in the field of protection and use of historical and cultural heritage.
