The XV International Piano Contest named after Rustam Latypov opens In Kazan

March 20, in Kazan, the XV International Piano Contest named after Rustam Latypov, dated  to  birthday of Johann Sebastian Bach opens.

The contest is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan and Kazan State Conservatoire (Academy) named after N.G. Zhiganov.

Listening of contestants will be held in the Chamber Hall of the Grand National Concert Hall named after  Saydash.

The founder of the competition, which is also called "Bach", in due time became a businessman Rustam Latypov ( 1946-2011). His father, Masgut Latypov  was one of the first professional Tatar composers and conductors. Rustem Masgutovich himself chose a different professional path , graduating from the Kazan Aviation Institute. Music has become one of his major hobbies for life and favorite composer since childhood was J.S. Bach . It is a tribute and respect to "the great cantor" and became established competition, which constitute the basis of the program of his compositions. Also binding is "Humoresque" by Masgut Latypov, written by the composer in 1939.

Competition named after Rustam Latypova without exaggeration be called a rare example of philanthropy in Russia. The deed of Rustam Masgutovich  after his  death  continued by his wife , composer, pianist, publisher, associate professor Razia Yenikeeva. If initially the  contest was  conceived as a musical contest that seeks to cover participants from  Tatarstan,    last few years he has gained an  international status. Geography of participants this year covers Kazan, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, and the  application from Germany was received. Contest participants will perform in two age categories: 15 to 18 years.

The contest program includes three rounds. Its  authoritative jury includes  musicians – Rector of  KSC ( Academy)  after  N.G. Zhiganov,  Professor Rubin Abdullin, Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Professor Elfiya Burnasheva, Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan , Associate professor , composer Razia Yenikeeva , People's Artist of Tatarstan, a laureate of international competitions Yevgeny Mikhailov , People's Artist of Tatarstan, Professor Flora Hasanov .

The draw of contest participants will be held on March 20. Award Ceremony - March 25, the press service of  RT SGCH after S.Saidash informs.
