The V Cultural and Sports Festival of the Visually Impaired of Tatar regional organization of the All-Russia Organization of the Blind (AOB)

From March 14-16, Kazan will host   V Cultural and Sports Festival of the Visually Impaired  of AOB  Tatar regional organization.

Founders  of the Festival:  AOB  Tatar regional organization,  Cultural and Sports Complex Rehabilitation TRO  AOB Republican Special Library for the Blind.

The festival is held annually for comprehensive development and further improvement of rehabilitation and creative work of the visually impaired. The festival aims to promote active citizenship and development of the spiritual principle in interaction with the outside world.

The main objectives of the festival are  the following:   constant search and organizational - methodical development of new forms of leisure and intellectual development of the blind disabled,  popularization of new sports ( Goalball , Torbole , mini football ) among  the visually impaired, to ensure their regular classes, overcoming the inertia of thinking and disunity of AOB members due to the specifics of their physical condition and mobilizing public opinion in interests  of the broad masses of invalids.

The sports part of the festival program includes personal Republican competition checkers and chess, powerlifting, weightlifting, tennis , "Showdown",  team competitions on goal - Bolu. Rehabilitation unit consists of competitions for quick and expressive reading Braille; connoisseurs of  computer,  orienteering in space using gps- navigation. Cultural content of the festival  participants   will make amateur presentations , intellectual game.

The festival is held on the basis of TRO KSRK AOB (Serov 7) and the Republican Special Library for the Blind and Visually Impaired (Serov 3).
