March 15-16, in Naberezhnye Chelny Tatar Drama Theatre, a premiere performance - a drama by Tatar literature classic Ayaz Gilyazev "Arshin Och Zhir" ("Three feet of earth") to be presented to audience. This large performance is played almost by entire troupe.
For love hearts, Mirvali and Shamsegayan, fate has brought many bitter experiences. The land plot, which Mirvali bequeathed from his father, is seized by the Soviet regime. Protesting against this, a young farmer burns his belongings and runs away from the village. All his life, he spends in exile, missing and longing for his native places. Back home Mirvali makes Shamsegayan’s last wish, who is terminally ill and wants to be buried in her native village. After the death, six feet of earth enough for a man. Do the villagers forgive Mirvali? Will they accept? Do people value their loved ones during life? ..
Theater director Fail Ibragimov addresses to this work second time. First, he put "Three feet of earth " as far back as 1980 in Aktanysh.
Why Fail Ibragimov showed Mirvali on stage? The man, who destroyed all his possessions, inherited from his father, so it could not be obtained by the collective farm? Why then, the director needed a hero - the son of a well-off peasnat, who dark night fled from his native village and then the whole life was wandering in foreign lands? And why would he needs such hero today? ..
Part of the answer to these questions were made at a press conference held today at the theater, which was attended by theater director Rashat Faizrakhmanov, chief director Fail Ibragimov and artists, role of Mirvali - Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rafik Kaumov and Rasim Khamzin.
New performance to be seen on April 3 and 9, the press service of the theater.
