Concert of Denis Matsuev and RT State Symphony Orchestra will see 16 million viewers worldwide

Recording of the concert on March 10 at the Grand Hall of Moscow Conservatory as part of the country's most prestigious subscription -based by one  of the most famous musicians in Russia and the world of "The Soloist Denis Matsuev" will take place. 

As part of the subscription, the Symphony Orchestra of Mariinsky Theatre and Valery Gergiev, ZKR and Yuri Temirkanov, the Russian National Orchestra and Mikhail Pletnev, Filarmonica Toscanini and Lorin Maazel, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and Zubin Meta have performed. RT State Symphony Orchestra under direction of   Alexander  Sladkovsky   has been invited to Matsuev’s  subscription,  first, among the  regional groups.

The concert to be recorded and broadcasted on Mezzo. In case of broadcasting on another TV channel of  classical music Medici, Denis Matsuev comes as a guarantor of recording of Tatarstan Orchestra.

The musicians will present a complex and rare program to the audience, requiring from performers flawless and high level of mastership. This is Liszt Piano Concerto II, which is not as popular as the first, this is the most complex Third Concerto for Piano and Orchestra by S.Prokofiev undeservedly rarely performed. Variations on a Theme of Paganini by Lutoslawski, and Rachmaninoff's First Symphony, which was forgotten for a long time because of the failure of the premiere performance in 1897, and again returned to the posters of concerts around the world a few years ago - largely thanks to the Fund of  Rachmaninoff, whose art director is D. Matsuev. Professional television recording of some works will be done the first time.

Concert of Denis Matsuev and the State Symphony Orchestra under direction of Alexander Sladkovsky recorded in Moscow, will be shown on Mezzo in May and June of this year, reruns will be aired for 5 years, - the press-service of the RT GSO informs. Today this TV channel covers l 16 million subscribers in 40 countries. TV channel Mezzo exists specifically for people, who are keen in classical music, folk, jazz and ballet.
