Contest Artist of the Year 2013 summed up in Naberezhnye Chelny

February 26, at 16.00, in the great hall of the gallery of the city of Naberezhnye Chelny city, a competitive exhibition "Artist of the Year 2013" opened. The exhibition includes painting, drawing, sculpture, arts and crafts more than 250 works almost 100 authors.

Competition "Artist of the Year" has been held since 2002. Organizers of the contest - the Department of Culture of the Executive Committee of Nabarezhnye Chelny Naberezhnochelninskaya organization together with Russia creative public organization "Union of Artists of Russia" and the National Gallery of the city.

Under the provision,  the competition was held in five categories:

- Painting ;

- Graphics;

- Arts and crafts ;

- Folk art ;

- New names ( the nomination of young artists ) .

To determine the winners of the contest committee  is formed consisting of  the leading artists, academics and art critics of the city.

Works by artists of the winners purchased to supplement the collections of the city art gallery .

"Artist of the Year" - is not only to identify the best works of art of the city,  this  is also  rate of growth of professional skills of artists , it is identifying new trends in the visual arts of the city. And most importantly, it is an opportunity to preserve the best works in the collections of the gallery as a creative legacy artists.

In the five categories the winners :

"Painting" - Gaifutdinov Fakil Foatovich - for a series of painted portraits and creative activities.

"Graphics" – Massarov Irek Nailovich - for disclosure of distinctive national themes.

" Arts and crafts " - Elmira Khisamutdinova Linarovna - for innovative and original solution of  composition.

" Folk Art " - Gareeva Khaniyeh Gilmutdinovna - high professionalism and the revival of folk art.

"New Names" - Sivko Lubov - for active and successful creativity.

The exhibition will last till March 16.
