The exhibition hall of Elabuga State Museum Reserve opens a unique display "Flora and fauna of the Russian stage"

February 6, in the ESMR Exhibition Hall a unique exhibition "Flora and fauna of the Russian stage" has opened. This is a joint project of the St. Petersburg State Museum of Theatre and Music with Yelabuga State Museum-Reserve.

The exhibition "Flora and fauna of the Russian stage" allows residents and visitors to discover the history of  ne of the most beautiful musical and theatrical genres - ballet.

St. Petersburg State Museum of Theatre and Music, founded in 1908,  stores over 450,000 relics in its  collections,   narrating      of  dramatic, opera and ballet    arts  in the history of theater in Russia.

The exhibition " Flora and fauna of the Russian stage" represented 15 costumes and over 60 graphic sketches of theatrical costumes,  reflecting  different milestones of the national theater, the images of wildlife and nature as full actors of ballet, drama and opera performances.

Graphic costumes for ballet productions familiar with the work of famous Russian theater artists of the nineteenth - early twentieth centuries.

We emphasize that in  2014   there will be 9   joint exhibition projects with Russian museums, and   they  undoubtedly    to be a milestone in the cultural life of Yelabuga. All of them are dedicated to the 25th anniversary of  Elabuga  State Museum , the Year of Culture in Russia and the Year of Culture in the Republic of Tatarstan.
