On the eve of the Olympic Games in Sochi, the Republican Library for the Blind and Visually Impaired summed up the year of Universiade.

All previous Universiade years, the library worked actively to promote sports ideas among visually impaired people, bring them to a healthy lifestyle and active physical training and sports.

On results of the year of Universiade, methodical department of the library prepared a survey of «Universiade 2013 in a history of the library of the blind». The publication presents experience of the library and its branches in the preparation and holding previous World Student Games.

This is the first edition in a series   devoted to bibliographic reviews of the library of the blind during preparation and holding significant for our country the world sports  games. In future, it is planned publication of the reviews of the XXII   Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi, the press service of the library reports.
