Renowned contemporary children's writers from Saint Petersburg Mikhail Yasnov and Sergei Makhotin to meet with pupils of Novo-Savinovsky city district s at the Republican Children's Library

February 11, at 2.00 pm, renowned contemporary children's writers from St. Petersburg  Mikhail Davidovich Yasnov and Sergei Anatoleviches Makhotin   will meet with pupils of 1-4 grades of Novo Savinovsky city district at the Republican Children's Library.

Mikhail Yasnov and Sergei Makhotin - one of the most eminent contemporary writers for children. Both authors – Laureates of the Honorary Diploma of the International Council on Books for Young People (IBBY),  Award Winners named after S.Marshak.

 The meeting will be held in the form of merry -friendly dialogue  between writers and children. The authors will read their poems, sing songs with a guitar, answer questions of children, play with them literary games, talk about their favorite books of childhood.

The meeting will take place thanks to the support of children Charitable Foundation "Happy Stories", which successfully is implementing a social literary project "Glagolititza" on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Project purpose of "Glagolititza": improving pupil’s reading activity,  popularization of reading among pupils, teachers and parents.

Project tasks:  - expanding  children  reader’s  scope,  revival of traditions of family reading, improving youth literacy, help and support of talented children.

Republican Children's Library is not accidentally chosen to host meetings with writers, this year it celebrates 95 years of the founding and for nearly a hundred years, it  has  gained extensive experience in conducting such activities.
