Culture of Turkic Peoples in Periodical Press

"Culture of Turkic Peoples in Periodicals Press" – so is titled the first exhibition of the RT National Library periodicals (Karl Marx Street, 36) in the series "Kazan – a cultural capital of the Turkic world - 2014".

In accordance with the decision of the next XXX Permanent Council of Culture Ministers of member countries of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) held on September 7, 2012 in Ufa, Kazan declared the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2014. This honorary title awarded capital of Tatarstan thanks to a rich historical past and its modern face.

The opening ceremony, the Year of culture and launching the program "Kazan - a cultural capital of the Turkic World 2014" will be held on April 26 - the birthday of the great Tatar poet G.Tukai.

The exhibition presents articles from magazines and newspapers from the fund department.

The exhibition runs from January 15 to 31, 2014.
