The National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan has opened the exhibition «Golden Hands of Masters: Tatars Crafts».

For many centuries, traditional crafts of Tatars are the jeweler's art and goldwork embroidery, leather mosaic, tambour embroidery and fixings weaving, woodworking, felting. Thanks to traditions and preserved articles made by craftsmen of the past, craft have been developed, known for their originality and popularity.

The National Museum of the Republic of Tajikistan remained one of the largest collections of articles and tools of Tatar masters. Many of them are traditional crafts, tricks of the trade that passed from generation to generation. Creating a new product, a true master not only relied on the experience of past centuries, but also tried to find his original decision.

Today Tatarstan revived the best traditions of folk arts and crafts. Maintaining continuity, craftsmen create works of art corresponding to the new forms of life and artistic tastes, widely using the national ornaments and traditional technique.

At the exhibition one can see rarities arts and crafts XIX-XX centuries, and products of modern masters. Among them - the paintings on velvet, made by Luiza Faskhutdinova, elegant products of masters leather mosaic Sophia Kuz'minykh, Ildus Gainutdinov, Naila Kumysnikovoy and others.
