From December 2 to 4, the II International Cultural Forum to take place in St. Petersburg.
St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum seems to be one of the most important activities in the field of Russian culture. Forum is a unique international platform for annual meetings, fruitful open dialogue and exchange of experience between experts in the field of culture and cultural policy, government officials, politicians and businessmen, discussing the problems and trends of modern world and Russian cultural life.
At 30 sites, in the best cultural institutions of St. Petersburg, more than 50 events in various formats are planned: round tables, seminars, conferences, professional discussions with representatives of executive and legislative authorities , heads of RF subjects, prominent domestic and foreign figures of culture, art, science and education, representatives of cultural organizations.
Theme of the II St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum is the Year of Culture in Russia in 2014, announced by Presidential Decree of V.V. Putin. The Year of Culture will create strategic prerequisites for developing cultural life in Russia in coming years to attract attention of the society and experts to the development and preservation of cultural heritage, strengthening the role of Russian culture in a modern world and increasing importance of international cooperation in this area.
The event, which invited representatives of the executive and legislative authorities , heads of subjects of the Russian Federation, prominent local and foreign figures of culture, art, science and education, professionals and experts in the field of culture, is joined also by Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Airat Sibagatullin.
