November 8-9, the III Media Forum of Turkic-speaking countries and communities was held in Bishkek. It was attended by over 150 representatives from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, the Autonomous Republic of Gagauzia within Moldova, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea as part of the Ukraine , as well as Turkic republics of Russia - Tatarstan, Kabardino -Balkaria, Bashkortostan, Yakutia, Khakassia, Tuva, Karachay- Cherkessia, and others. Tatarstan was represented by chief of the press service of the RT Ministry of Culture Ruzilya Mukhametova and correspondent of IA «Tatar-Inform” in Turkey Rushaniya Altai.
Leaders welcomed Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey Beshir Atalay , CEO of General Administration of Press and Information of the Republic of Turkey Murat Karakaya , Chairman of Press Council of Azerbaijan, Chairman of Media Platform of Turkic-speaking countries and regions Aflatoun Amashev , general secretary of the TurkPA Zhandos Asanov, Turkish Ambassador to Russia Halil Akinci, Minister of culture, Information and tourism of Kyrgyzstan Sultan Rayev .
The forum meetings were held on topics «New Media as a reflection of technological change», «Future of Media Turkic world: new media and social impact of the media», «Media Ethics in the context of new media». Presentation of Internet portal and laying flowers at the memorial of the outstanding writer Chingiz Aitmatov and at the monument to public figure of Kyrgyzstan , son of the Sakha people Maxim Ammosov .
By outcomes of the Media Forum’s work a declaration has been adopted, which states that the Media Platform of Turkic-speaking countries contributes to consolidation of peace in the Eurasian space , unification of the media and exchange of information and experience among the Turkic-speaking countries and regions. It was decided to hold the next, the fourth meeting of the Media Forum of Turkic-speaking countries in North Cyprus .
