The IX Conference of the Chuvash National-Cultural Autonomy in the Republic of Tatarstan took place in the RT House of Friendship of Peoples

November 1, at the House of Friendship of Peoples of  Republic  Tatarstan the  IX Conference of the Chuvash National- Cultural Autonomy in the Republic of Tatarstan  took place. The conference was devoted to the report  on the activities of the Chuvash national-cultural autonomy in the Republic of Tatarstan (CHNCA in RT) for two years and  election of the President and the Bureau of autonomy. Delegates  of the conference represented  the regional  and town assembles  of  CHNCA.

The event was attended by  Deputy Chairman of the State Council of Tatarstan Rima Ratnikova , Minister of Culture Airat Sibagatullin, President of the Chuvash National Congress Nicholai Ugaslov, RT First Deputy Minister of Education and Science Danil Mustafin, Director of the House of Peoples' Friendship of Tatarstan Irek Sharipov and others.

Vice -Speaker of the Parliament of Tatarstan Rima Ratnikova appealed to delegates of  the conference with a welcome address on behalf of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, President of Tatarstan State Council,   Head of the Assembly of Peoples of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin and members of the national parliament. «Today, the delegates  from all over republic  gathered,  who do a lot to keep the language, traditions and culture of the Chuvash people , - she said. - In the early 90s,  a Chuvash socio- cultural center named after  Peter Huzangaya  in Tatarstan created.  It was a time when all the people were drawn to its roots culture, began to study the history, talked about the fact that we need to protect and preserve their languages».

«Tatarstan has adopted the concept of national policy. This document is of national importance declares that the country has created proper conditions for  preservation of national languages ​​and cultures of the peoples of Tatarstan», - said Rima Ratnikova .

   President of the Chuvash National Congress Nicholai  Ugaslov  addressed  the delegates of the conference :  «I ​​want to express my enormous gratitude to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan for the opportunity to develop the Chuvash people on equal terms. Our friendship is composed of thousands of years, we continue the work of our  ancestors. Our common goal  is proudly  to carry the banner of friendship and pass it to future generations».
