On the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Political Repression «Chamber Symphony» sounded im Sviyazhsk

October 30, at the State Historical- Architectural and Art Museum «Island – Svijazhsk» a performance of Kazan Chamber Orchestra «La Primavera»  took place. Musicians under conduct of  Rustem Abyazov presented the program «Island – burg». The concert was the third performance of collective  in the I - Mobile Music Museum Festival «Chariot Clio. Music page history of the region» and was timed celebrated across Russia Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Political Repression .

Before the concert, traditional laying of flowers to the monument of victims of political repression was held which was attended by students of the local school, who are   themselves descendants of political prisoners. The fact that the island was once part of Stalin's gulag is one of the most tragic pages of its history.
