Rifkat Vakhitov awarded the title of People's Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan

Today, September 18, an award ceremony for presenting the title of People's Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan to Rifkat Vakhitov was held  at the National Art Gallery "Hazine".

The ceremony was attended by RT Deputy Chairman of the State Council  Rima Ratnikova , RT Deputy Minister of Culture  Irada Aiupova , director of the RT  State Museum of Fine Arts of  Rosalia Nurgaliyeva and colleagues of the artist.

Rifkat Mukhametovich Vahitov is one of the leading masters of the art of the Republic of Tatarstan and a prominent figure in the Russian culture. He was born February 26, 1938 in Izhevsk. In 1965 he graduated from the Kharkov Art Institute. 1972 - Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. 1993 - Member of the Union of Artists of Russia, Tatarstan . 2005 - Honored Artist of Tatarstan. 2013 - People's Artist of Tatarstan.
