VIII International art-symposium «Epic about love» opened in Yelabuga

From  July 21 to  30,  in an Exhibition hall of Yelabuga state  historic-architectural and art museum-reserve, the  VIII International art-symposium on modern painting  «Epic about love is taking place.

Annually, representatives of creative intelligentsia for work, setting professional contacts and experience exchange arrive in Yelabuga. A big role in this process plays Yelabuga state museum-reserve, which  year by year expands a sphere of its activity, developing and implementing new  creative projects.

An immense  value among them enjoys  art projects, which since    2010 year have acquired an international status. Over 250 painters  from 13 world countries took part, among them: Turkey, Scotland, Egypt, China, India, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belorussia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Russia. During various years, the symposium participants worked over the themes: «Breathing of Epos», «Ornament -fest», «Rebro  Adama(Rib)», «Cradle  song».

The aim of  VIII international art-symposium  «Epic about love» is assertion of  eloquent ideals in relations between man and woman antheming love to Motherland, described in ethnic folklore; popularization of folklore works in painting  of modern Russian and foreign masters; opening of the theme  «Epic about love» through interpretation of folklore works  by means of picture forms.
