Universiade park opens its doors for first visitors

Today a  Universiade park opens its doors for the first visitors.  It will possible to attend the  Universiade park closely up July 17, daily, from 12.00 am to 23 00 pm .

Official opening of the Universaide park takes place on July6.

The ceremony of opening is to be  held by artists form Tetysh  and Saba regions. From  12.00 am to  23.00 pm  будут работать houses of Universiade friends,  park of football   «FIFA-2018», zone of national courtyard «Tatpotrebsoyuz»  and sales points of souvenirs and  licensed products are operating. Besides, at noon, kinder platforms open where tramps,  dynomometer –boxer, rodeo, hoop-la, and for fans of rock climbing, a rock climbing gigantic  wall will be installed .

The park with capacity of  30 ths. people is located on  quay of the Kazanka river, on square before Palace of agriculture.   Zones of public  catering where the guests will be able to get acquainted with dishes of national cuisine, expositions of Universiade partners, national courtyards, scene  platforms  are located on the park’s territory. Here, also, a   special thematic zone is located where the pavilions  of org. committees of upcoming Univesiade are spaced.

Participation of folk creative groups from 28 municipal regions of Tatarstan В is planned in the Universiade park. Performance of collectives from two municipal regions per day is envisaged.

Over 200 collectives  from the regions  take part. All genres of folk creativity: vocal, choreographic, folklore, instrumental will be presented. The program includes performances of indigenous peoples, living in territory of Tatarstan (Tatar, Russian, Mari, Chuvash, Chuvash, Udmurt, Mordva).

Krasnoyarsk, an applicant for hosting Winter Universiade in 2019, has its own site in the park. The site will feature skating ring and free skates hire, whilst on the 6th of July, Alexey Yagudin, Olympics Figure Skating champion and four-time World Figure Skating champion, will visit for an autograph signing session.

Cique du Soleil conducts the final rehearsal at 10p.m. on the 5th of July with its 11 performances featuring 80 young Kazan participants taking place during Universiade.

Universiade Park visitors are in for an intense performance schedule during XXVII World Summer Universiade 2013.

"Universiade rock festival" Part 1 is held at the opening ceremony on the 6th of July, whilst "Welcome to Russia! Welcome to Kazan!" performance featuring stage, vocal and dance groups takes place on the 7th of July.

"Sozvezdiye - Yoldyzlyk" ("Constellation") festival winners and "Collage" little theatre actors take part in Family Day celebrations on the 8th of July.

"Volga-Volga" vocal-instrumental ensemble, Egor Sesarev and "True Jazz Band" perform at "Legends of the dance floor" on the 9th of July, whilst "Games for Health, Games for Life" project features Yulia Lasker, Teo. Dilyara Vagapova and "Murakami" group on the 10th of July.

Universities' performance groups from Saratov, Yoshkar-Ola, Tyumen, Orenburg, Kazan and Cheboksary take part in "U are the world" performance on the 11th of July, whilst the 12th of July is a day of dance battles and hip-hop, house and dancehall performances.

Tatar national holiday Sabantui is celebrated on the 13th of July, with folk groups and Tatar singers performing on the Park's stage.

DJ Gruv, "Smyslovye Gallyutsinatsii" and "Leprechaunsy" groups perform on the 14th, and the epic opera fairytale "Ak Bure" premieres on the 15th of July.

16th of July is a Champions Day, summarizing Universiade and featuring Elmira Kalimullina, "Jukebox Trio" and "True Jazz Band" .

"Universiade rock festival" Part 2 closes Universiade Park on the 17th of July, ANO Executive Directorate «Kazan-2013»     media department  informs.
