Traditional Republican festive of Chuvash culture «Uyav» to be held in Nurlat

On June 30, 2013, a traditional Republican festive of Chuvash culture «Uyav» will take place in Nurlat town.

The organizers of festive  - Executive committee of Nurlat municipality, Tatasrtan  ministry of culture, Chuvash national-cultural autonomy in the Republic of Tatarstan, Republic center of traditional culture development.    

Acquaintance with rich  Chuvash culture begins from ethnic courtyards  prepared in a national style. This year, in preparing ethnic courtyards jointly with Nurlat region,  Alexeevsky, Aksubaevsky, Almetievsk municipalities will take part. They  will show national rites  of Chuvash people.

 The contests: «Chuvash beauty»«Chuvash batyr», exhibition  «Town of masters» with participation of decorative–applied art masters, contest of national cuisine dishes will be held in the context of festive. Traditionally,   2 concert platforms will be engaged where the  collectives from Tatarstan and RF regions are due to perform.

  40  collectives from  19 municipalities of the Republic Tatarstan will take part.   43 creative groups form RF regions – this is Samara and Ulyanovsk oblasts, Togliatti.,  Chuvash Republic, Republic of Bashkortostan, Krasnoyarsk krai will take part.  

First time,  «Uyav», festive dedicated to the end of sowing works took place in year  1993, on the ground of village Nizhnaya Kondrata of Chistopol region and for last years the festive in a status of the republican one annually is held in one of the regions of compact habitation of the  Chuvashs. This day,  festive participants dance in a round, sing old songs, show items made by masters of  folk crafts.  For these years, the republican festive «Uyav» has been held on the ground of Alexeevsky, Aksubaim Alemtievsk, Nurlat, Bavly, Bugulma, Cheremshan regions and Nizhnekamsk town.

Since 2006 the festive  «Uyav»is being held in Nurlat region .
