Tatar national festive Sabantui took place in Semei town of Kazakhstan

June 16, Semei  town, Kazakhstan, Tatar national festive Sabamtui  took place. В нем приняли участие RT State counselor  Mintimer Shaimiev and akim of the  Eastern-Kazakhstan oblast Berdybek Saparbaev took part in an event.    

They were  accompanied by akim of Semei town  Aibek Karimov, RT State Council  Chairman committee on culture education and national issues Razil Valeev, head of Nurlat region Nail Sharapov, RT Vice-minister of culture  Guzel Nigmatullina,  WCT Ex. com. chairman  Rinat Zakirovв, RF General consul in Ust-Kamenogorsloye Sergei Annenkov, deputy Plenipotentiary of Tatarstan  in the Republic Kazakhstan Rafail Ablakov, General consul of Kazakhstan in Kazan Askhat Nuskabai.

Sabantui  in Semei is held every year under active support from akimat    oblast authority  and gathers the representatives of all nationalities: Kazakhs, Russians,Germans, Ukrainians, Byelorussians, Uyghurs, Koreans, Uzbeks and other  on its festive maidan. The guests from Tatarstan  on the way to a festive scene  visited  yurts and pavilions  of ethnic-cultural  centyres of the  oblast towns;: met with representatives of Tatar  Diaspora of Kazakhstan  and communicated  not only  with Semei residents and Kazakhstaners, but with compatriots, having come from Altai region  and Altai  Republic and from other regions of Russia.

This year, Sabantui in Semei  has been  held  with participation of Nurlat region. About two hundred Nurlat people came to Semei, they built their platform on Sabantui maidan, which demonstrated national traditions and customs of Tatars, Russians, Chuvashs and other nationalities living in Nurlat region. Head of the region Nail Sharapov held an excursion round beautiful tents of the region, among which there was even real  bath in operation.

Well-known Tatarstan artists  performed at the Sabantui. Among them  People’s artiste of RT  Georgi Ibushev,  RT Deserved artists Aidat Gabdinov and Zoya Borisova .

The guests watched also  sports and folk  games, arranged  on maidan, enjoyed skills and dexterity of its participants. By tradition,  the most bright moment  of the festive  became fight of batyrs  – Tatarcha kuresh (Tatar wrestling on belts). The  victor  Darkhan Zholamanov  from Pavlodar oblast  has got not only lamb but a car likewise  – a present from President of the Republic of Tatarstan  Rustam Minnikhnanov. Key to the car was handed by RT State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev.

After the end of  celebrating  Sabantui,  RT State Counselor, akim of the Eastern-Kazakhstan oblast and members of the delegation attended Theatre named after Abai  where an awarding of Tatar Diaspora representatives took place,  RT President press service informs.
