May 25, a solemn event «Izge Bolgar zhyeny» to be held on territory of Bolgar state historic-archtectural reserce»

On May 25, 2013, a solemn event «Izge Bolgar Zhyeny» to be held on territory of Bolgar state historic-architectural reserve dated to the  Day of official adoption of Islam  by the Volga Bulgaria.

President of  the Republic  Tatarstan R.N. Minnikhanov, State Counselor of the Republic Tatarstan M. Sh. Shaimiev will take part in an event.

In the wake of festive event, opening of River station with museum function «Museum of Bolgar Civilization» will take place. The program of a solemn event  includes  measures – reading preaches, performance of munazhats and old Tatar songs, performance of Koran readers, work of Town of masters with trading by items of folk crafts and souvenirs, trade by halal products in the context of festival «Halal without borders»б religious items.

On the eve of a solemn action, a tent camp, having all amenities, is functioning for all visitors.

Celebration of the anniversary of adoption of Islam is held in Bolgar Spassky municipal region of Tatarstan since year 1989, it attracts pilgrims from various regions of Russia and the CIS countries. Since  2005 the festive is held under support of RT ministry of culture ,the World Congress of Tatars Executive committee, Tatarstan  Religious board of Muslims and municipality «Spassky municipal region of Tatarstan». In  2012 over 66 thousand pilgrims from towns of Russia and near and far abroad countries  took part in ceremonial measures.
