International festival of Boris Berezovsky "Summer evenings in Yelabuga" in the open-air format - 2021

From 15 to 18 July 2021, the International Music Festival of Boris Berezovsky "Summer Evenings in Yelabuga" will be held for the third time in the open-air format. For 4 days about 200 musicians from Belgium, Holland, France, Israel and Russia will perform on the open stage.

Artistic director of the project is Boris Berezovsky, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. Cellist Alexander Knyazev, pianist and jazz improviser Oleg Akkuratov, pianist Yuri Martynov will take part in the festival. In addition, the participation of the People's Artist of the RSFSR Sergei Shakurov is planned.

Musical groups include the Brussels Tango Quartet under the direction of Michael Gutman, the Crystal Trio ensemble (directed by Igor Sklyarov), the La Primavera chamber orchestra under the direction of Rustem Abyazov, the Igor Lerman chamber orchestra, the chamber choir of the Republic of Tatarstan (directed by Milyaush Tamindarova),  Governor's Ulyanovsk State Academic Symphony Orchestra (directed by Ilya Derbilov), the Horizons trio (directed by Mikhail Shumakov), the Madrigal early music ensemble (directed by Alexander Suetin), the Volnitsa old Cossack song ensemble ( headed by Andrey Davydov). For the first time, 17 young musicians, laureates of numerous All-Russian and international music competitions, will appear on the stage.

 Summer Evenings in Yelabuga is an unprecedented event in Tatarstan that differs from other music projects in its unusual open-air format. It assumes free free attendance of concert programs and harmonious unity with nature. Taking place in the very center of the historical part of Yelabuga - on the Shishkinsky ponds - the festival gives bright and unforgettable impressions and leaves in the memory exciting emotions from the amazing natural acoustics and professional sound.

In addition to the main program, during the days of the festival, daytime concerts will be held for museum visitors with the participation of the soloist of the Madrigal ensemble Anatoly Grindenko, violist Ellina Pak, harpist Sofia Kalandadze and Maria Berezovskaya (xylophone). In turn, the pianist Yuri Martynov will hold master classes at the Elabuga Children's Music School No. 1.

In addition, as part of the "Summer Evenings" on the estates of the House-Museum of I.I. Shishkin, Museum-Estate of N.A. Durova and the Literary Museum of M.I. Tsvetaeva will host daytime performances of the creative laboratory of the State Theater of Nations (Moscow).

The partner of the festival is Yamaha Music. The Japanese brand has been around since 1887 and is one of the largest manufacturers of all kinds of musical instruments and audio equipment. Yamaha acoustic and digital instruments are respected and loved by musicians and amateurs alike, they shine on the world's leading stages, they are chosen for performances and home practice. This year's festival will feature a Yamaha CFX grand piano and a Yamaha Stage Custom Birch drum kit. And in order for each pianist to sound their own grand piano, a Yamaha concert tuner will prepare him for his performances.
