“Mir” meets the Days of Slavic Cinema
On June 25, the Slavs of the whole world, and this is more than 300 million people, celebrate the Day of Friendship and Unity of the Slavs. The Days of Slavic Cinema, which are held within the framework of the "Panorama" Film Festival of the peoples of the Republic of Tatarstan, are timed to this date.
Films of Ukrainian, Belarusian, Polish and Russian filmmakers will be shown.
The screenings are non-commercial, all films of the film program of the Days of Slavic Cinema will be shown for viewers free of charge, but with prior reservation of a place at the box office or on the website of the Mir cinema https://kinoteatr-mir.ru/.
The organizers are the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, the State Budgetary Institution "House of Friendship of Peoples" of the Republic of Tatarstan and the cultural institution "Tatarkino". The shows are timed to coincide with the International Day of Friendship and Unity of the Slavs.
The Festival will open on June 25 at 19:00 with a short animated film "The Legend of the Gusli" (Belarus) directed by Tatyana Kublitskaya. The screening will continue with the film "Happiness in an Envelope" (Russia), which reveals three amazing stories about love and friendship, about faith in a dream and the connection of generations, about how not to betray yourself and remain human in any life situation. The grand opening is scheduled at 18.30.
On June 26, screenings will continue with the animated film "Clara and the Magic Dragon" (Ukraine), which tells about the unique appearance of a magic dragon in the fairy world. Due to its exceptional rarity, the dragon is kidnapped by the forces of evil in order to use its magic. By chance, they lose the dragon. He is found by two friends - a cheerful raccoon and a grumpy gnome. Friends go on a long journey to return the dragon home. The show starts at 12:00.
The military drama "Squadron 303. True Story" (Poland) will be shown at 14:00. The story of Polish pilots, who, at first underestimated and ridiculed, become a legend. In the ranks of the Royal Air Force of Great Britain (RAF), they form an elite unit - Squadron 303, with which no one could compare. The film not only presents their stunning campaigns during the Battle of Britain, but also shows their private lives. Whom they loved, whom they lost, and whom they yearned for.
