One of the first to see the new performance was the Chairman of the State Council of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin and Irada Ayupova, Minister of Culture of Tatarstan:
“This is the strongest work - it is about social injustice, and how to survive and how to fight for life. In my opinion, such works remain relevant, despite the change of eras and generations. It is important that we do not forget that we need to remain human in any situation. Thanks for the show!
The latest productions of "Dragon" and "Vassa" are deeply philosophical. These performances reveal the problems of society, and they are relevant at any time. It's great that in our theaters we can talk about the eternal. Thanks to the team of Alexander Slavutsky and the actors, the game was very strong, hard-won - I really liked it! "
Alexander Slavutsky - director, artistic director of the theater. Kachalova: “Not a single modern text can give the depth, the volume that Gorky has. We took the second version of the play, but we also took a lot from the first version. Our play is partly created by us. After all, we took something from other works of Gorky, those that were consonant with our sense of time. We cleaned up Gorky, corrected, supplemented, but there was no need to rewrite anything. There are no concessions to fashion here. The melodramatic line, the human line, the family line was important to me. Gorky wrote a text that is absolutely consistent with today's problems. "
The next premiere screenings of the play "Vassa" (16+) June 10,17,25,26,29, 2021.
