Congratulations from the Minister of Culture Irada Ayupova on the International Day of Museums

18 May 2021, Tuesday

Dear Colleagues!

International Museum Day is celebrated around the world on May 18.

On this day, congratulations are received, first of all, by those who have dedicated their lives to the preservation and popularization of the historical and cultural heritage.

Museums have a special mission - they have accumulated and comprehended the experience of many generations. Museums preserve and represent cultural heritage, strengthen cultural identity, and play an important role in fostering a sense of homeland.

After all, each new generation begins its journey  from  development of the spiritual and material heritage of society and the country.

It is in museums that testimonies of the achievements of our ancestors, objects demonstrating the stages of the country's history, masterpieces of fine art are kept.

The role of museums is steadily increasing in shaping the image of a region and a country.

At the same time, the Republic of Tatarstan is rich not only in cultural values stored in museums, but also in selfless servants of the history of the native land and its multinational culture.

Special thanks to these people. Thanks to their dedication, enthusiasm, creative energy, museum objects and collections come to life, telling visitors their stories, revealing the secrets of the past, making them think about the future.

On this holiday, accept words of gratitude for your daily work, thanks to which the connection between generations is not interrupted, traditions, material and spiritual values are preserved.

I wish you creative success and inspiration for the implementation of new interesting museum projects, good health and well-being.
