Residents of the Republic of Tatarstan took an active part in the international project # Know Russia

With  support of the Ministry of Culture and members of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, the Second International Congress of Cognitive Tourism, Culture and Media Volunteers, as well as the #Learn Russia Literary Festival. Don word   was  held. The winners of 14 distance competitions were announced, in which cultural volunteers from 72 regions of Russia and 28 foreign countries took part. The contestants dedicated more than 1,700 entries to the geniuses of the word.

Residents of Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Arsk, Almetyevsk, Chistopol and other settlements of the Republic took an active part in the competition for the best book trailer, trailer, in competitions for the best costume of the hero of a literary work or a master class on creating a costume and for the best portrait the hero and / or illustration of literary works, in the competition of theatrical performances and literary and musical compositions and the most active were the volunteers of the recitation competition "Know Russia. Don Word".

- The Congress and the Festival confirmed the importance of using the potential of the cultural heritage of non-capital regions, ties with compatriots abroad, inter-municipal twinning relations to promote Russian culture and develop tourism. The contribution of the event participants to the implementation of these tasks is enormous. Experts and spectators appreciated musical compositions, portraits of authors and their literary heroes, posters and costumes, reviews and book trailers, scenery concepts for theater and film performances, tourist routes, lesson programs, theatrical performances, - explained  head of the joint organizing committee of the Congress and the Festival, a member of the OPRF Leonid Shafirov.

The participants of the Congress, Festival and competitions were greeted by the Secretary of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation Lidiya Mikheeva. She noted that each of the works submitted by the participants to the competition undoubtedly plays an important role in the preservation and augmentation, development and dissemination of domestic culture and demonstrates to all of us its diversity and boundlessness, encourages us to rediscover and get to know Russia.

The project was implemented with  support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. In her welcoming address to the participants and organizers of the Congress and the Festival, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Yarilova noted: “These events brought together people from several industries at once, people of many different professions and fields of activity: experts in the field of education and culture, literature and philology, from various regions of our countries and other states. And of course, volunteers and caring people, without whom it is already very difficult to imagine any industry. Today we are faced with a large number of tasks. This is the development of culture in our regions, and popularization of Russian culture abroad, and the further development of volunteerism. We can only solve them together. And I am sure that thanks to such events, we are getting closer to our goal every day ”.

Irina Velikanova, Chairperson of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation Commission on Cultural Development and Preservation of Spiritual Heritage, noted the systematic approach to  implementation of the Donetsk residents' initiative aimed at popularizing the history of their native land, active participation in the project not only of representatives of other regions, but also of other countries.

The winners of the contests, the results of which were summed up within the framework of the Congress and the Festival, were residents of 29 regions of Russia: Orenburg, Kostroma, Rostov, Sverdlovsk, Volgograd, Penza, Bryansk, Magadan, Tomsk, Kirov, Belgorod, Moscow, Lipetsk, Tyumen, Kemerovo, Tambov, Tver, Omsk, Kursk regions, Krasnodar, Stavropol, Krasnoyarsk Territories, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, Republics of Adygea, Bashkortostan, Crimea, North Ossetia-Alania, Chuvashia, Udmurtia.

On behalf of the organizing committee of the Congress and the Festival, a member of the OPRF Leonid Shafirov expressed his gratitude to the members of the OPRF from these regions, the heads of regional and municipal public chambers of these regions for their assistance in informing interested parties about the possibility of participating in competitions.

Separate words of gratitude are addressed by the organizing committee of the events to the embassies and cultural centers of Russia abroad, which assisted in the participation in the events of citizens of Finland, India, China, Latvia, Poland, Egypt, Algeria. They, as well as participants from the LPR and DPR, became the winners of the competitions.

Popular science films about writers whose life and work are associated with the Don Territory - the great son of Taganrog, the hero of the day of 2020 A.P. Chekhov's "Three Sisters".

Greetings were addressed to the participants of the remote sessions of the II International Congress and from those who in 2019 were able to attend the event in person.
