Gennady Alexandrovich Paushkin was born on February 28, 1921 in Kazan.
In 1939 he entered the Kazan University at the Faculty of History.
G.A. Paushkin was a participant in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. For participation in battles he was awarded the Order of the Red Star and the medal "For the Defense of the Caucasus".
After demobilization, G.A. Paushkin continues his studies at Kazan University, leads the literary association of the university.
In different years he worked as the head of the department of culture and art of the editorial board of "Komsomolets Tataria", a correspondent for "Komsomolskaya Pravda", a consultant, head of the Russian section of the Writers' Union of the TASSR.
G.A. Paushkin wrote essays about oil workers, builders of KAMAZ, stories and stories about the war, lyric poetry.
