Tomorrow, Kazan will host a meeting of the Art and Expert Council of the Republic of Tatarstan on folk arts and crafts
Tomorrow at 10:00 in the exhibition hall of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan a meeting of the Artistic Expert Council of the Republic of Tatarstan on folk arts and crafts will take place.
At the meeting, Minister of Culture of the Republic of TatarstanIradaAyupova, Director of the State Budgetary Institution "Resource Center for Implementation of Innovations and Preservation of Traditions in the Sphere of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan" AlsuMiftakhova and grantees of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan to support small and medium-sized businesses in the field of folk arts and crafts in 2019 are scheduled to speak.
Within the framework of the session, a video presentation on technology of gold sewing will take place. Then a member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Tatarstan, Honored Worker of Arts of the Republic of TatarstanLuizaFaskhutdinova will tell about the peculiarities of gold embroidery in the Volga region.
Also, on the agenda of the meeting is consideration of the products of the grantees in 2019 for confirmation of classification of the manufactured products as products of folk arts and crafts. This procedure will become permanent for all grantees from 2020.
We remind that the main goal of the Council, created under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, is to classify items made by craftsmen as folk art crafts, as well as to coordinate the activities of organizations located on the territory of the republic that produce items of folk art crafts in places of their traditional existence. The Council is formed of highly qualified specialists in the field of decorative and applied arts, ethnographers, museum workers, art historians, representatives of creative unions, representatives of cultural bodies, foundations and associations whose activities are related to preservation of the national and cultural heritage.
