On November 17, 2020 at the House of Friendship of the Peoples of the Republic of Tatarstan, an exhibition "In the vastness of Tatarstan", dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the TASSR, opens. The vernissage is held within the framework of the IV International Kutui-fest. And for the fourth time the Kazan branch of the Trade Union of Artists of the CIS celebrates the closing of the festival with its exhibition.
The epicenter of the exhibition space is a painting by a family of artists - Askhat Makraev and Svetlana Timofeeva, who worked on a 1.5 x 2.5-meter canvas for two years. The work is titled "To the 100th anniversary of the Tatarstan Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic" and includes 100 portraits of famous personalities of Tatarstan with fragments of visiting places of Kazan and the republic - from Kazan University to KAMAZ. Among those depicted on the canvas are politicians and scientists, patrons and clergy, veterans and athletes, directors of large enterprises and creative intelligentsia: poets, writers, artists, musicians and even one model. Also, among fifteen more paintings by this pair, special attention is drawn to the work of Askhat Makraev - "Cosmic Kazan", the artist's view of the city from the vastness of the Universe.
The exhibition is decorated with paintings made in different techniques. These are the graphics of the national artist Rushan Shamsutdinov, and the lifetime painting portrait of the poetess Roza Kozhevnikova in the image of a resident of ancient Bulgaria, curator of the exhibition Lada Ayudag. Many paintings are dedicated to Kazan, important cultural and historical places of Tatarstan. The types of Bulgar, Sviyazhsk, Sokur are presented in the paintings of Tanya Tench, Irina Krasnova-Volgina, Mikhail Kraev, Dina Lebedeva, Tatiana Shatalina, Lyalya Asadullina, Maria Akhmatyanova, Anastasia Abdrashitova, Gulchachak Akhmetsalikhova. Watercolors of the expanses of the republic and the author's patchwork dedicated to the heroine of the legend - Altynchech, will be presented by Tatyana Gnezdilova and Veronika Muzafarova.The audience will also be pleased with their works by the pupils of the Prostor art studio of the Prostor House for Children and Youth Tourism and Excursions.
