At  the Cultural Center named after A.S. Pushkin will open the exhibition "Patchwork Magic"

November 13 at 16:00 in the Cultural Center named after A.S. Pushkin will host the opening of the exhibition of patchwork sewing "Patchwork magic" as a genre of Russian arts and crafts aimed at maintaining and supporting interest in Russian folk traditions, in women's needlework.

The exhibition is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the TASSR. Presented is a panel depicting a stylized flag of the Republic of Tatarstan, framed by a kind of "frame" with red tulips. In the center of the canvas is the logo of the celebration of the centenary of the republic.

The exhibition will feature works by A.N. Abel (master of folk arts and crafts of the Republic of Tatarstan,  member of  Chamber of Crafts of the Republic of Tatarstan), in particular, her tetraptych "The Four Seasons"; N.L. Kuznetsova (member of the Association of Patchwork Craftsmen of the Russian Federation, masters of folk arts and crafts of the Republic of Tatarstan): "Leaf Fall", "Autumn Blues", "Antiquity and Modernity", etc. Interesting works by F.R. Galimova and V.M. Eremina - masters of the patchwork club "Kazanochka", headed by L.I. Fedina.

Among the exhibitors there is a young scrappy girl, 16-year-old Zarina Zaripova (supervisor M.S.Zlatoustova).

The joint exposition of Russian patchwork art attracts with a variety of stylistic manners, competitive artistic ideas, demonstrates the masters' mastery of both traditional techniques and new plastic solutions.

 The exhibition will run until January 15, 2021.

Sun, Mon: closed.
