Today, on the facade of the building at 55 Marshal Chuikov Street, the finalist of the FormART Street Art Festival (website of the Festival http://formartpfo.ru/) Azat Shakirov began creating a mural. The artist will be busy on the work for 5 days. At the moment, the artist is realizing his idea on the 9th floor.
The creative sketches were evaluated by two expert commissions: federal and regional experts in the field of visual and street art. The presentation stage of the Festival takes place in October: artists create murals on selected objects. At the same time, a film is being filmed about the process of creating an art object. We remind that the Festival is held in the cities of the Volga Federal District and is dedicated to the fight against the coronavirus epidemic.
The storyline of the Kazan mural is based on the image of the closing hives. “Our society, despite the love of consumption, was forced to hide at home during the pandemic, observing a strict regime of self-isolation. But among them there were "lucky" ones who could freely go to work and do what they loved. And corporations, the main engine of consumption, were forced to “hide” under masks, but were able to continue their activities. This mural is a reminder of a difficult period of self-isolation, when we were limited in everything: in movement, travel, meetings with family and friends, visits to parks, including consumption - this is what our modern economy is built on - street art experts and the festival jury ...
The final stage of the Street Art Festival will end on October 20. The work will be posted on the festival's website and social networks.

From July 7 to August 17, more than 150 works from the constituent entities of the Russian Federation were submitted to the qualifying stage of the FormART Street Art Festival. Azat Shakirov will represent the honor of the Republic of Tatarstan. The graffiti-image will be drawn by the artist at the address: Kazan, st. Marshal Chuikov, 55.

In addition to the unique opportunity to decorate the streets of their city, each finalist will be able to apply for grants for the development of their creativity and skill in the amount of 100 thousand rubles for the 1st place, 75 thousand rubles for the second place, 50 thousand rubles for the 3rd place.
