On October 4 at 15.00 a new art object will open in Almetyevsk - a metaphor about a safe distance "Almetyevsk Backgammon". Street artist Heato from St. Petersburg has already begun to create it on a square near the House of Justice. He applies the drawing with special paints for sports fields. “The backgammon board will become a kind of reflection on the distance between people. The concept of the project is directly related to the historical events of 2020. Thinking about the experience of social distance, you can imagine the markup on the ground as a graphic system, along which you need to move from point A to point B, ”comments Polina Yozh, curator of the public art program.
The painting will serve as a stage for the performance of "Brave Ardashir" by the choreographer, owner of the "Golden Mask" Nurbek Batulla. Direct translation of the word nardashir - backgammon from pahlavi.
Nurbek Batulla: “What will happen in the improvisation will be determined by the viewer - he throws virtual dice, he also sets the frequency of starting the random number generator, turning from a passive observer into an active participant in performative practice. This reflects the essence of the backgammon game: 50% depends on the player's tactics, 50% depends on luck. Randomness helps to avoid patterns in the thinking of the viewer and performers, makes them find new meanings. "
It will be possible to see the performance live, from the windows of houses (along Lenin Street, 135 and Lenin Street, 149) and online. The live broadcast will be organized on the YouTube channel of the public art program "Tales of Golden Apples" https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC21Qnbeuir-9aGzd41UdZDQ, as well as on the official website and on the VK page of the Internet magazine "Inde".
