The call for applications for the International Children's Drawing Competition "Humanity within War" under the patronage of UNESCO has started. The Humanity Within War project is based on the historical story What an Amazing Guy, written by Ferdinando Pascolo. What an Amazing Guy is a historical novel about an Italian soldier who first fought in the USSR, and then in the partisan resistance against the fascist regime in Italy.

This international children's drawing competition for children, adolescents and youth from 7 to 19 years old. The competition is open to students of general education, art schools, studios, circles, colleges, lyceums, institutions of additional education, students of secondary specialized educational institutions and individuals aged 7 to 19 years in three age categories from all countries recognized by the UN:

from 7 to 10 years old

from 11 to 14 years old

from 15 to 19 years old

The competition is held in the following seven nominations:

1. "What an amazing guy" (Based on the book by Ferdinando Pascolo);

2. "Link between generations";

3. "Eternal Memory" (Based on monuments and war memorials);

4. Memory of the dead journalists in hot spots;

5. "Family and Faith" - Icon Painting Competition;

Submission of applications for the competition is free. Applications are accepted from June 22, 2020 to January 10, 2021. 200 selected works will be presented on display at a ceremony in Italy, in Udine, among which 20 winners will be selected in nominations and age categories. For the best works in each nomination (in each age category), participants will be awarded with Diplomas, Diplomas and valuable gifts (medals, cups and certificates), which will be presented at the Official Awards Ceremony in person or (if it is impossible to take part) sent to the participant specified in the application form address.
