Until September 31, applications are open for the Forum-Festival “Special Look. Regions"
From 26 to 29 November 2020, Kazan will host the Forum-Festival of Social Theater “A Special View. Regions ", organized by the Alisher Usmanov Charitable Foundation" Art, Science and Sport "within the framework of the program to support people with visual impairment" Special Look "and the Center for the Implementation of Creative Projects" Inclusion "with the support of the "Living City" Foundation and the Foundation for the Support of the Deafblind "So -unity".
The purpose of the Forum-Festival “Special View. Regions ”- to unite the regional professional community and caring people as a driving force shaping a dynamic inclusive society. The Forum-Festival will show what social theater is, how it develops in the regions and what artistic level the productions created with the participation of people with disabilities or people in difficult life situations can achieve.
Forum-festival “Special View. Regions ”includes three programs: theater, educational and interdisciplinary.
Theatrical program of the Forum-Festival “Special View. Regions ”will be formed from the most representative works in the field of inclusive and social theater, created in the Volga Federal District. It will include performances that the festival's expert council will select from the applications sent for the competition and performances proposed for showing by the organizers of the Forum-Festival.
The educational program of the festival is intended for authors and participants of existing sociocultural projects, as well as for writing journalists. It will be attended by 20 specialists from the Volga Federal District, selected on the basis of an open competition, and representatives of theater groups. As part of the educational program, practical seminars, master classes and intensive courses from leading experts in the field of inclusion and social theater - directors, teachers, producers, theater experts - will take place.
The interdisciplinary program will take place at the festival for the first time. She will collect a wide range of art works also created in the Volga region. It will include installations, performances, works of media art that raise social issues.
And one more innovation - a competition of socio-cultural projects for regional creative organizations and activists will be held within the framework of the festival. The organizers of the festival want to support ideas aimed at interdisciplinarity, to work with different groups of the population and their inclusion in the cultural agenda.

Travel, accommodation and meals for the participants of the programs are fully provided by the festival. As a result of the festival, experts will select one work that will become a participant in the federal stage of the project - the II Forum-Festival of Social Theater, which will be held in 2021 in Moscow. The collection “Social theater in Russia. Privolzhsky District ", which will include the main cases collected during the Forum-Festival.
