A press conference on the festival of medieval battle "Great Bolgar" with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Damir Natfullin took place in IA "Tatar-inform"
On September 26-27, on the territory of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve, the festival of medieval battle "Great Bolgar" will take place.
"Great Bolgar" is an opportunity to plunge into the atmosphere of life and everyday life of the XIV-XV centuries. At the festival site, you can watch the reconstruction of the spectacular battles of the soldiers of the Golden Horde, medieval Europe and Russia. In addition to the fights, there will be evening shows, creative workshops, and a large fair.
At a press conference, Damir Natfullin noted that this year there are some surprises that will increase the interest of the audience. The main gift for visitors, perhaps, will be free admission to the event.
Also, it was announced about the appearance of a new site, where piercing blows will be allowed when using long swords, swords, rapiers, etc. In contrast, unfortunately, this year there will not be an equestrian tournament.
Recall that the festival is traditionally held in summer, but due to the pandemic it was postponed to September.
