Poetry - the most prestigious poetry award in Russia - includes poets from Tatarstan
Two famous poetry stars of Tatarstan - Lilia Gazizova and Anna Russ - were included in the list of the Poetry Prize, the most prestigious prize in Russia in the field of poetry.
The Poetry Prize is only 2 years old. It was established by the Dignity Charitable Foundation in 2018. Thus, this award is presented for the second time in 2020. It includes the authors of the 100 best poems in Russian, published in 2019.
The purpose of this award is to find and encourage outstanding works of contemporary poetry and poetry translation, literary criticism dedicated to poetry.
Lilia Gazizova has a number of publications in various literary publications, including the journal "Foreign Literature". In the August issue of this year, her article "My Turkish Universities" was published.
It should be recalled that it was Lilia Gazizova who at one time became the initiator and curator of two very special poetry festivals in Kazan - the Lobachevsky festival and the Khlebnikov festival, which have been collecting the color of modern poetic Russia in our region for many years.
