St. Petersburg Theater of the Deaf is on tour in Tatarstan

From September 16 to 20, 2020 in the Republic of Tatarstan, the St. Petersburg Theater of the Deaf is on tour as the holder  of the Grant of the Union of Theater Workers of Russia, laureate and winner of the First City Festival-Competition of Theater Groups "Pro Reading" of the Committee on Culture of St. Petersburg, winner of the Second International Paradelphic Games -2018 in the field of the highest achievements in art, winner of the Open Inclusive Theater Festival "Territory of Gesture" -2018-2019 of the Ministry of Culture of Russia, as part of the project "International Cultural Forum" Week of Culture and Art of the Deaf in St. Petersburg "within the framework of the 75th anniversary Great Victory over Fascism "(hereinafter referred to as the ICF), with the support of  Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov.

September 19, 2020 at 15:00, for the first time in the House of Friendship of the Peoples of Tatarstan, the ANO "St. Petersburg Theater of the Deaf" performs with the play "Love in St. Petersburg" in Russian sign language.

The project is aimed at developing and supporting  creativity, culture and art of the deaf, it arouses great interest in the world cultural community, is supported by  international cultural movement in the field of the highest achievements in the art of people with disabilities, the UNESCO Commission, the RIC, Russian and international organizations of the hearing-impaired.

The ICF is a diverse and informative project in sign language, which is aimed at developing and supporting the creativity, culture and art of the deaf, strengthening the image of St. Petersburg as the cultural capital of the deaf around the world.

The main goal of the project is to substantiate  need to create the first state theater for the deaf in Russia. Supporting the culture and art of disabled people is one of the tasks of state importance.
