The exposition introduces the creative heritage of Tatar artists of the 20th century and the works by contemporary authors. The geography of their destinies is vast: Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Bashkortostan, the Baltic countries, Perm, Moscow, St. Petersburg. Some were born here, others came or come here to work, organize exhibitions here. Keeping the memory of their ancestors in their souls, they turn to Tatar history, culture and traditions of the Tatar people.
In total, the exhibition will feature works by seventeen artists from the collection of the Mardjani Foundation: sixty paintings and graphic works, as well as sculpture. The first section presents, in particular, such well-known painters as Baki Urmanche and Chingiz Akhmarov, as well as Marat Sadykov and Ravil Khalilov. The second section is more extensive: the painter Amir Timergaleev living in Moscow and the sculptors Tagir Subkhankulov, the artist from St. Petersburg Marat Vafin, the Perm sculptor Alfiz Sabirov. Several Tatar artists live in Ufa - Anvar Kashaev, Rinat Minnebaev, members of the group "Genghis Khan" Vasil Hannanov, Rinat Kharisov, Midat Mukhametov, Rasikh Akhmetvaliev and others.
Masters work in different genres: landscape, still life, portrait, genre compositions; they refer to history, ancient legends and mythological images.
The exhibition will run until October 11, 2020.
