A bust of singer Ilgam Shakirov was installed in the village of Novy Bulyak
Today in the Tukaevsky municipal district in the village. A bust of People's Artist of the Russian Federation, People's Artist of the RSFSR Ilgam Shakirov was installed in the new Bulyak.
New Bulyak is the artist's native village, where he was born on February 15, 1935. The village has a museum dedicated to the singer; a spring was named after him.
The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Vasil Shaikhraziev, head of the Tukayevsky district Fail Kamaev, as well as representatives of the Writers' Union of the Republic of Tatarstan and artists.
The bust was made in St. Petersburg by the sculptor Venus Abdullina.
“The role of Ilgam aby in our life was enormous. We have been proud of him all our lives, ”said the singer's niece Rufia Zaripova.
Ilgam Shakirov died on January 16, 2019. He was buried at the Novo-Tatar cemetery in Kazan.
