The tour of the performance with the participation of children from orphanages "Odyssey 2K19" will take place in Kazan
September 26 in Kazan, the State Budgetary Institution "Cultural Center named after A.S. Pushkin "will host a tour of the play" Odyssey 2K19 ", which participants are children from orphanages.
The tour became a prize for the collective marked by members of the expert council of the 1st Forum-Festival of Social Theater "Special View" - it took place in Moscow in 2019. The purpose of the forum-festival is to highlight the best practices of social theater in Russia and unite as many caring people as possible around this phenomenon.
The tour of "Odyssey 2K19" will be the prologue to a big event that will take place in late autumn - in November 2020 Kazan will host the forum-festival "A special view. Regions ”, which will unite the workers of the social theater of the Volga Federal District.
“Odyssey 2K19” is a performance of the “Give Me Wings” charity foundation and the Social Art Theater from St. Petersburg. The production by director Dmitry Krestyankin is a story about finding oneself, finding a home, difficult choices, spiritual wanderings and difficulties overcome in complete solitude. The production involves documentary stories of teenage actors who found themselves in a difficult life situation and grew up in orphanages.
“This 'illustrated epic' is based on Homer's poem and documentary material. It involves 20 teenagers and two adult actors (as a symbol of parenting in general): they, like an ancient Greek hero, are looking for a home that they do not have ”, - notes the producer of the tour Nika Parkhomovskaya.
