A grand opening of a multifunctional center and a sports ground took place in the Menzelinsky municipal district

“I don’t know what genre this performance can be attributed to. It's not important for me. It contains a synthesis of different types of art, which has united all the forces of musical theater ... And at the same time, this is not an opera-ballet, because it is impossible to divide this musical whole into separate components, even put together. For me, Mozart's Requiem is not only a brilliant creation of the great musician, who created a mourning farewell to the world and finds eternal peace. This is the confession of the Artist-Creator ..., this is a hymn to the creative life! ”, - says Vladimir Vasiliev, who will appear in this performance as its main character.

A grandiose constructive solution for the stage was created especially for the production. The stage curtains are designed in the form of pylons, which creates an association with a temple. “It is no coincidence that we have chosen such an image: on the one hand, the Requiem is to some extent the music of the temple; on the other hand, the stage for the main character is his creative temple, ”says production designer Viktor Gerasimenko. Huge mirrors are an important element of the decoration solution.

The design uses computer graphics, created by Eric Islamov (Moscow), with the use of paintings by Vladimir Vasiliev. Lighting Designer - Aivar Salikhov (Moscow).

One of the key characters of the premiere is the choir of the theater. This is probably the first time the choir has performed the Requiem by heart. “The production of Vladimir Vasiliev added new difficulties to the vocal performance: here the choir artists are not static singers, but active participants in the process. It is difficult to combine virtuoso singing with active gestures, movements around the stage, and synchronized change of poses. But how interesting! How it diversifies the choir's capabilities and enhances its skill, ”says choirmaster Lyubov Draznina.

“Vladimir Vasiliev is an incredibly demanding master! His productions on the stage of our theater - "Grant us peace" to the music of Mass in B minor by JS Bach and "And the eternal light will shine" to the music of W.A. Mozart's Requiem - represent a synthesis of genres. They have become a kind of challenge for the theater. But it was precisely due to the complexity and non-standard nature of the tasks that the work on them was artistically interesting, and the result was impressive, ”the theater director Raufal Mukhametzyanov is convinced.

The performance is attended by artists of the orchestra, choir, ballet (teachers-tutors - Elena Kostrova, Luiza Mukhametgaleeva), as well as opera and ballet soloists. In the prologue, the author's improvisations by Evgeny Borts will sound, in the epilogue - "Alleluja" from the motet "Exsultate, jubilate" by W.A. Mozart, edited by E. Podgaits. The production also features poems by Vladimir Vasiliev.

The main roles in the performances on September 5 and 6 will be performed by: the soloist of the Tatar Theater and Ballet Gulnora Gatina (soprano), Ekaterina Sergeeva (mezzo-soprano, Mariinsky Theater), Yaroslav Abaimov (tenor, Kolobov Moscow Novaya Opera Theater), Maxim Kuzmin-Karavaev (bass, Germany). The soloists of the Tatar Opera and Ballet Theater are involved in solo ballet roles: Mikhail Timaev, Amanda Gomez, Tais Diogenes, Wagner Carvalho, Alexandra Elagina, Ilnur Gaifullin, Alina Steinberg, Anton Polodyuk, Mana Kuvabara and Alessandro Kaggedji.
