As head of the Tatar-Japanese cultural and information center "Sakura" Asiya Sadykova said, the Days of Japanese cinema in Kazan are a traditional and expected event.
“Japanese cinema has its own audience, and the age is very different. As you know, Japanese cinema is one of the best in the world. And what the Japanese Embassy in Russia usually represents is, on the one hand, a very kind movie and at the same time, a philosophical one. The films tell how the people of Japan react to different life situations. Among the films - there are also animation ones, which is also important for the development of animated cinema in Tatarstan, ”Asiya Sadykova noted.
The program opened with Tatsushi Omori's film "Every day is a good day." It will tell about the student Noriko, who, on the advice of her mother, begins to attend the Japanese tea ceremony with her cousin Michiko. In moments of joy or sadness, Noriko, under the guidance of teacher Takeda, comprehends the art of the tea ceremony, not noticing how her life is gradually changing.
On September 5, within the framework of the Days of Japanese Cinema, the film "Mameshiba" directed by Toru Kamei will be presented. A film about 32-year-old slacker Jiro. He lives with his parents, does not go out and does not communicate with people. After the death of his father, Jiro's mother escapes and leaves a six-month-old puppy and some tips in the care of her son. To find his mother, Jiro must travel to explore the world.
Next in the program is the comedy "Daddy's Lunch - The Best in the World" directed by Masakazu Fukatsu. This is a film about a caring father who makes bento every day for his high school daughter. September 7 - Pop and Q is a Japanese animation dance film directed by Naoki Miyahara.

In addition to film screenings during the Days of Japanese Cinema, master classes on Japanese culture will be held in the foyer of the Mir cinema. At one of them, visitors will learn how to fold Hina Ningyo dolls from paper. The traditional Hina Matsuri dolls will be presented in an unusual light. Collected from paper, they will be an interesting decoration, and perhaps the most beloved bookmark for a Japanese dictionary.
There will also be an unusual master class on drawing on medical masks, which in the future will be able not only to protect against microbes, but also become a beautiful accessory.
There will also be a mini-fair from the Anime Salon "Zan Zara": with badges, key chains, notebooks, pens, posters and, of course, unusual sweets.
Let us recall that the festival "Days of Japanese Culture in the Republic of Tatarstan" started on August 30 as part of the year of Japanese-Russian interregional and twinning exchanges 2020-2021.
