On September 5, Kazan will host the Republican Ethno-Confessional Festival "Mosaic of Cultures" - 2020 as part of the "Day of National Costume".
For the first time, the festival will be held at several venues and simultaneously in two formats: the online broadcast will be conducted on the official accounts of the Republic of Tatarstan from the residence of the creative industries "Shtab", and offline - on the territory of the Staro-Tatar settlement in Kazan.
The event is held within the framework of the State Program "Implementation of National Policy in the Republic of Tatarstan" in order to strengthen the unity and spiritual mutual enrichment of the peoples living on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan, preserve, develop and popularize multinational culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, including the national costume, the organizers report.
As part of the online program, it is planned to organize performances by popular youth groups and performers from among the peoples of the Volga region. Headliners of the Festival: Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Elmira Kalimullina and the Moscow folk group "Repa".
The online broadcast will be organized on the official communities of the Republic of Tatarstan in social networks.
In a programme:
- youth concert with performances by popular groups and solo performers;
- fashion show of clothes of ethno-designers;
- discussions, fashion reviews, comments from designers and guests of honor, dedicated to contemporary ethnic fashion and style.
As part of the offline format, in the courtyard of the Tatarskaya Usadba restaurant, an exhibition of handicrafts by masters of the Republic of Tatarstan and neighboring regions of the Volga region will be organized, as well as a master class on baking Udmurt perepechi in a real oven.
Ethnomarket fair with master classes and bakery sales will be presented on Kayum Nasyri Street.
On the small stage, there will be a fashion show from fashion designers in ethnic style, coach sessions, discussions, fashion reviews, live communication with fashion designers from Kazan, Cheboksary, Yoshkor-Ola, Izhevsk.
On the main stage there will be a concert of performers and bands representing the peoples of Tatarstan, as well as ethno-folk music artists from neighboring regions.
Cross connections from online to offline sites are planned.
The organizers of the festival are the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Assembly and the House of Friendship of the Peoples of Tatarstan, the Youth Assembly of the Peoples of Tatarstan.
