The conditions of participation, nominations, selection stages and significance of the competition were reported by: Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Damir Natfullin; composer, chairman of the board of the public organization of amateur composers of the Republic of Tatarstan, honored art worker of the Republic of Tatarstan Rif Gataullin; artistic director of the Tatar State Philharmonic named after G. Tukay, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, People's Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Aydar Fayzrakhmanov; and also the niece of the outstanding Tatar singer Rufia Zaripova.
The Ilgam Shakirov Republican Prize is awarded to performers for their fruitful activities to preserve and popularize the original traditions of Tatar singing culture, development of professional song and vocal creativity and outstanding achievements in the field of national vocal art, which have received high public recognition.
“For us, objectivity is in the first place, therefore a two-stage selection system was created for participants of the contest. At the first stage, the application will be considered by expert council created under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan. For compatriots living in other regions of the Russian Federation and abroad, an online mode is provided, ”Damir Natfullin said.
At the second stage, the expert council will evaluate the candidates admitted to the selection by the commission.
The award is of a personal nature and will be awarded once every two years in the following nominations: "Vocal (women)", "Vocal (men)" and "Folk singing". We remind that solo performers are invited to participate. Public, scientific, cultural organizations, as well as educational organizations can nominate candidates. According to the regulation, self-nomination is allowed for the nomination "Folk Singing".
The first presentation of the award is scheduled for February 15, 2021, on the birthday of Ilgam Shakirov
The deadline for application is November 15, 2020.
