On September 1, at the A.P. Gaidar in Arzamas hosted a solemn opening ceremony of the exhibition "My name is Marina ..." from the funds of the Elabuga State Museum-Reserve. The event was held with the support of Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Union of Russian Museums, Department of Culture and Tourism of the Administration of the city of Arzamas, Committee for Property Management of the city of Arzamas. A significant moment was the fact that the exhibition opened shortly after Arzamas celebrated the day of the city.
Due to the limitations associated with current epidemiological situation, there were few invited, but the most interested and honored guests gathered - representatives of the Arzamas leadership, director and staff of the museum A.P. Gaidar, instructors of the Arzamas branch of the N.N. G.U. after N.I. Lobachevsky. The opening took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere of colleagues and like-minded people.
Roman Shershakov, deputy head of the Arzamas administration for social issues, noted that cultural exchange is very important not only for museums, but also for Arzamas and Yelabuga themselves, and this exhibition is only the first step in the friendship of the two ancient merchant cities.
Director of the NNGU Arzamas branch after the N.I. Lobachevsky, Doctor of Philology, Professor of the Department of Russian Language and Literature Sergey Pyatkin appreciated the exhibition and expressed confidence that residents of Arzamas would show great interest in it. He said that this is a unique opportunity for students and schoolchildren to get to know the personality of the great poet M.I. Tsvetaeva than it is given in the school curriculum.
In turn, Olga Pryanikova, Deputy Director of the Culture Department of the Arzamas Administration, and Elena Malygina, Chief Specialist of the Tourism Sector of the Trade and Tourism Department of the City Administration, added that they would advocate for lowering restrictions on the admission of excursion groups so that as many residents of the city as possible could visit the exhibition “My name is - Marina ... ".
By tradition, representatives of the Yelabuga State Museum-Reserve presented gifts - souvenirs and museum publications. The first tour of the exhibition was conducted by an employee of the Literary Museum of M.I. Tsvetaeva of the EGMZ (Elabuga State Museum Reserve) Konstantin Balobanov. By the way, he was awarded the medal of honorary guest of the city, which was presented to him by Roman Shershakov.
