Schoolchildren of Tatarstan will study at the educational center based on the "Sirius" model
now every year more than 1000 gifted schoolchildren from all over Tatarstan will be able to participate in educational programs, take trainings and master classes without leaving the republic.
On September 1, 2020, at the Duslyk health and educational complex of the Republican Olympiad Center of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Republican center for the identification and support of gifted children and youth, based on the model of the Sirius Educational Center, was officially opened. The center is formed on the basis of the University of Talents, the purpose of the activity is early identification, development, professional support and further consolidation (employment) of gifted children and youth in the Republic of Tatarstan.
The opening was attended by: Ilsur Khadiullin, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan; Yulia Adgamova, First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan; Natalya Alkaeva, head of the sports reserve training sector of the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan.
"Today, the work of the regional center according to the Sirius model begins. Laboratories equipped with modern equipment will function here, as well as specialized programs where our children will receive the necessary knowledge. We want our pupils to quickly find application of the knowledge gained. We are ready to help to develop young people and provide all opportunities for this. Once again I congratulate all of us on the opening! "- said Ilsur Khadiullin.
The work of the Republican Center is being built in close cooperation with the educational segment of the republic and industrial partners. In total, the Center will operate 18 research laboratories, classrooms and sites in 3 areas of activity - science, art and sports.
"This symbiosis of science, art and sports will give an impetus for the further development of the republic. For all your talents to be realized, we have created wonderful conditions. I am sure that the work will be productive, and in the future we will see the participants as professionals in their field," noted Yulia Adgamova , First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan.
During full-time profile programs, participants will study on modern equipment and immerse themselves in solving urgent problems of science, try themselves in future professional activities and actively interact with representatives of the business community. The Republican Center is aimed at interaction of children and youth from different spheres (science, art, sports) to form teams capable of proposing cross-sectoral projects in the current socio-economic directions of the development of Tatarstan.
We remind you that on September 1, three full-time profile programs started at the Republican Center: "Path of the Champion" in athletics, "Field research and project activities in biology" and "Reload: button accordion and accordion" in musical and performing arts.
