On August 30, on the square in front of the Palace of Farmers, the X International Open Air Festival "Kazan Autumn" will be held, organized by the State Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan under direction of the artistic director and chief conductor, People's Artist of Russia Alexander Sladkovsky.
The festival will feature arias and overtures from Russian, Tatar, Italian and French operas: "The Queen of Spades", "Altynchech", "Rigoletto", "Forces of Destiny", "Masquerade Ball", "Lucia di Lammermoor", "Sicilian Vespers" ... People's Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation - Albina Shagimuratova and leading soloist of the Bolshoi Theater Igor Golovatenko will perform in Kazan together with the State Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan under direction of Alexander Sladkovsky.
This year the Kazan Autumn festival celebrates its tenth anniversary. The world opera star, an honorary guest of the festival, Lyubov Kazarnovskaya, will come to congratulate the residents of Kazan. The world-famous singer recalls her performance at the first Kazan Autumn International Opera Festival, which took place 10 years ago: “The energy of the hall was fantastic, the audience at the concert was amazing, reacted vividly to the performances, I am delighted!”.
The State Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan and People's Artist of Russia Alexander Sladkovsky prepared a gift for all spectators of the Kazan Autumn Festival - a presentation of the Tchaikovsky-2020 box set, which included all the symphonies and instrumental concerts of the great composer. The recording of the collection "Tchaikovsky-2020" is timed to coincide with the 180th anniversary of the birth of PI Tchaikovsky and the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Tatar ASSR.
The Kazan Autumn opera festival is traditionally held on the occasion of the City Day and the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan. Over the years, the Kazan Autumn was attended by: Roberto Alanya, Dmitry Hvorostovsky, Simona Kermes, Khibla Gerzmava, Venera Gimadieva, Leonardo Gramenya, Dinara Alieva, Andrey Zhilikhovsky, Sergey Skorokhodov, Chulpan Khamatova, Elmira Kalimullina and others.
