Today, in one of the Kazan courtyards, the first event was held within the framework of the 1st Uen fest festival dedicated to traditional folk games and amusements. Near house number 49 on Vishnevskogo street, the artists of the Kariev Theater for Young Spectators staged a real holiday with games for children.

Teachers-organizers and artists of the Youth Theater: Milyausha Rizvanova, Ilfat Gibadullin and Albina Gaizullina told the audience about the variety of ancient games and the history of their appearance. They taught the local children to play such games as "Zhomga", "Kainar berenge", "Kapka".
According to Alsu Miftakhova, director of the Tatkultresurscenter State Budgetary Institution, the Uen fest festival is a large-scale project designed to introduce children to live, not virtual communication with each other using folk culture. Game performances will be organized not only in Kazan. It is planned to cover more than 1000 yards throughout the republic with the events of the 1st Uen fest festival, including those renovated under the Our Yard program.
Let us remind you that the I festival Uen fest has started on August 1. Actors of leading theaters of the republic, employees of houses of culture, students of the Kazan State University of Culture and Arts, employees of the House of Friendship of Peoples were the first to play their favorite folk games and fun, recorded it on video and posted it on social networks of their institutions with the hashtag #wenfest.
Courtyard teams from all over the republic are invited to participate in the festival; the age of participants is not limited. Those who wish can take part in the online marathon "Show your team and we will come to you!", Which takes place on the Instagram social network on August 1. The rules of the game are simple: participants record their favorite folk game on video, post it on Instagram with the hashtag #UenFestContest and subscribe to the project's channels. Each month a winner of the competition will be determined using a randomizer. The reward will be the organization of a courtyard party with the participation of professional animators and Tatar pop stars.
The educational program of the festival is also planned: master classes with teachers and psychologists on explaining the importance of play in the educational process of the younger generation.
On May 1, 2021, the competitive part of the Uen fest festival starts. A competition of traditional national games will be announced among all the courtyards of the republic. Applications with video recordings will be evaluated by an expert jury, which will select the finalists on May 30. The best of the best will receive valuable gifts.
"On June 1, 2021, a large-scale festival will take place near the Kazan NCC, where the best courtyard team, the winner, will receive a ticket to one of the world's interactive parks," said Alsu Miftakhova. She stressed that the initiator and organizer of this event is the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The next festival within the framework of the festival will take place tomorrow, August 12th. The program for residents of the courtyards of Chapaev Street (No. 14/06, 16) is prepared by the actors of the Kamal Theater. The event starts at 18.00.
