The Center for Support of Youth Creative Initiatives (Roskulttsentr), with the support of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, announced the acceptance of applications for the National Youth Film Awards, aimed at supporting young aspiring filmmakers from Russia.
Collection of documents will last until September 15, 2020. Film directors and filmmakers from Russia aged 18 to 35 can present their feature films, documentaries, animated films, as well as films shot on a smartphone.
Each nominee has the right to nominate no more than one work in one of the nominations: Best Short Film, Best Smartphone Film, Best Animated Film, Best Documentary, and Best Debut Feature Film. Works of 2018-2020 are accepted for consideration.
Contestants need to register on the website of the AIS "Youth of Russia", select the subsection "National Youth Film Awards" in the "Events" section, fill out a questionnaire and an application for a participant in the selected nomination, download the competition work in the specified format.
After that, the expert council, which will include prominent representatives of the film industry, as well as cultural and artistic figures, will select three finalists in each nomination. The award ceremony for the winners and awardees will take place in St. Petersburg.
