Today, July 24, in the main building of the Kazan Federal University, a Memorandum of Understanding and the development of cooperation and strengthening of ties in the field of education and science between the university and the Agency for Management and Use of Historical and Cultural Monuments has been signed. The document was signed by rector of the university Ilshat Gafurov and head of the Agency for management and use of monuments of history and culture (AUIPIK) Alexei Menshov.
The meeting was also attended by Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Irada Ayupova, Deputy Head of AUIPIK Mikhail Ponomarev, Director of the Institute of International Relations Ramil Khairutdinov, Deputy Director of IMO KFU for Research, Vice President of the National Committee of ICOMOS of Russia Rafael Valeev, General Director of JSC Tatar Special Scientific - restoration management ", scientific director of the department of restoration of heritage of IMO KFU Yuri Egorushkin and dean of the Higher School of Historical Sciences and World Cultural Heritage of IMO KFU Ayrat Sitdikov.
According to the signed official document, the cooperation of parties will consist in developing and implementation of programs in the field of education and science, advanced training of the Agency's staff, joint scientific research, implementation of innovative activities, as well as in the implementation of promising international projects.
The parties also discussed issues related to the possibility of creating programs for restoration of objects of cultural heritage of federal property, which are in the use of KFU. In particular, the objects of the Kazan observatory and the building of the district school in Sviyazhsk.
In addition, the option of joint cooperation between KFU and AUIPIK on the implementation of international programs with the International Center for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM) was considered.
Note that ICCROM is an intergovernmental organization dedicated to the preservation of world cultural heritage through training, dissemination of information, research, cooperation and public campaigns. The aim of this center is to develop activities in the field of conservation and restoration, as well as to draw attention to the importance of cultural heritage.
